The Renewable Fuels Association announced today that Rondo Energy has joined the association as its newest associate member. Rondo Energy is a leading provider of zero-carbon industrial heat, making industrial decarbonization possible and profitable today. The Rondo Heat Battery captures low-cost renewable electricity and delivers continuous high-temperature heat, enabling customers to power their operations with zero-carbon energy.

“We are excited to welcome Rondo Energy to the RFA team,” said RFA President and CEO Geoff Cooper. “We look forward to working closely with them as the industry continues down the path toward net-zero carbon emissions. Rondo’s technology offers an innovative approach to decarbonization that can help open new market opportunities for renewable fuel producers.”

“RFA serves as a crucial policy leader actively supporting industry-wide decarbonization initiatives,” said Max Lander, Rondo Energy Director of Project Origination. “Their guidance is instrumental in ensuring that ethanol plays a vital role in achieving our immediate climate goals through ensuring that policy framework exists to accelerate decarbonization. We are thrilled to collaborate with the RFA and its members as we embark on the journey toward a zero-carbon future. Critically, Rondo shifts the paradigm of this carbon challenge into an opportunity, providing an economic advantage for producers rather than increasing the cost of business as usual, making it profitable for all stakeholders involved.”

Rondo Energy is pleased to join the RFA to help accelerate the decarbonization of America’s largest biofuel industry. According to Rondo, ethanol producers can lower the carbon intensity (CI) of their ethanol by up to 50% using Rondo’s Heat Batteries, and 100% CI reduction when coupled with carbon capture technology. Rondo says it can help renewable fuel producers maximize the value of their fuels, placing them at the center of decarbonizing transportation. Low-CI ethanol also stands to be the lowest-cost and most widely available feedstock for sustainable aviation fuels.
