WASHINGTON - For the second consecutive year, the Renewable Fuels Foundation, the education and research arm of the Renewable Fuels Association, has teamed up with the experts at Pinnacle Engineering, Inc. to sponsor a five-part webinar series that educates stakeholders within the renewable fuels industry about oil release planning, prevention and impact mitigation. Renewable fuel facilities with oil storage (including denatured ethanol) greater than 1 million gallons are generally subject to the Environmental Protection Agency's requirement to prepare, submit, and implement a Facility Response Plan (FRP). This webinar series will provide an educational opportunity to industry stakeholders on applicability, plan development, training, response and other compliance matters related to preparing and implementing an FRP. The webinar kicks off next Wednesday, Aug. 16 with an overview of FRPs. "These webinars will be helpful in further educating stakeholders on how to navigate these often complex regulations," Steve Schleicher, vice president of industrial services at Pinnacle Engineering. "I encourage stakeholders to participate in these webinars and take advantage of the wealth of information that is provided." "RFA is pleased to announce this webinar series for the second consecutive year with Pinnacle Engineering Inc.," said RFA Director of Regulatory Affairs Kelly Davis. "Working safely and preventing accidents is our top priority, and we want to make sure stakeholders are well equipped to prepare and implement an FRP."
