May 10, 2016

WASHINGTON — The Renewable Fuels Association is hosting two free ethanol safety seminars Wednesday, May 11, in Hopewell, Va. The ethanol safety seminars will be hosted in conjunction with International Association of Fire Chiefs, the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration and TRANSCAER. There will be a day session from 9 a.m.–2 p.m. ET, and an evening session from 5:30 p.m.–10 p.m. ET. Lunch and dinner will be provided. Attendees will receive in-depth information on proper training techniques that emergency responders and hazmat personnel need to effectively respond to an ethanol-related emergency. Certificates of Completion will be handed out to all attendees at the end of each safety seminar. "Safety is a top priority for the Renewable Fuels Association and our members," said Renewable Fuels Association President and CEO Bob Dinneen.  "It is important that those responsible for safety in their communities have the proper resources and training to be prepared if there is an ethanol incident in their area." The sessions are free to attend and open to the public. They will be held at the Beacon Theatre on 401 North Main Street. To register for these seminars, visit www.rfa.traincaster.com.
