Jared Mullendore serves as Policy Counsel and Director, Government Affairs for the Renewable Fuels Association. In this role, Jared works to develop and execute RFA’s policy and regulatory advocacy priorities, interacts with legislative and executive branch contacts, and collaborates on strategic initiatives.
Prior to joining RFA in June 2021, Jared worked in multiple capacities with the House of Representatives. Most recently, Jared served as District Director for Congresswoman Abby Finkenauer where he coordinated with both industry stakeholders and policy teams from the House Biofuels Caucus to advocate for legislative action for the ethanol industry and rural America. Earlier, as a District Representative for Congressman Dave Loebsack, Jared worked with constituent groups to inform and coordinate legislative efforts including the Congressman’s bipartisan advocacy for RFS issues.
Before his legislative career, Jared worked in civil litigation, information technology, and government contracting. A native of Bettendorf, Iowa, Jared grew up close to the agricultural community and his family’s farms in Iowa and Missouri. Jared is an attorney, licensed in Illinois. He earned his Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Arts degrees from The University of Iowa.
