Derek Peine serves as the CEO/General Manager of Western Plains Energy, LLC in Oakley, Kansas. He has spent the last 25 years working in production, technical, and management roles within the agricultural processing and renewable fuels sectors. Mr. Peine currently serves on the Board of Managers, including previously serving as President, for Renew Kansas Biofuels Association. Mr. Peine also currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Collaborative Sorghum Marketing Transformation Program. He graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering.
