Des Moines, Iowa—The Renewable Fuels Association (RFA) announced the election today of officers for the 2018 Board of Directors at its annual meeting in Des Moines. The RFA re-elected Mick Henderson, general manager at Commonwealth Agri-Energy LLC, as the chairman of the Board of Directors.
Henderson’s ethanol plant, located in Hopkinsville, Ky., produces 35 million gallons of ethanol per year from 12 million bushels of corn. The facility, which began production in 2004, also produces 107,000 tons per year of distillers dried grains, 110,000 tons per year of carbon dioxide and 3,000 tons per year of animal feed-grade distillers corn oil. Henderson has been with Commonwealth Agri-Energy since 2003 and has served on the RFA Board of Directors since 2006.
“I am excited that my peers have re-elected me as the Renewable Fuels Association chairman of the Board of Directors,” said Henderson. “I look forward to continuing to help guide our industry as we fight back against our critics. The Renewable Fuel Standard has been an immensely successful program and we want to ensure the energy, air quality and consumer benefits continue, while expanding ethanol’s market domestically and across the globe,” he added.
Additionally, RFA elected:
- Vice Chairman, Neil Koehler, Pacific Ethanol in Sacramento, Calif.
- Treasurer, Charles Wilson, Trenton Agri-Products LLC in Trenton, Neb.
