RFA assumes the following for its calculations: 1.) industry weighted average ethanol yield of 2.77 gallons/bushel of corn processed; 2.) dry mills represent 88% of current operating capacity; 3.) 20% of dry mills are extracting corn oil; 4.) Dry mills extracting corn oil produce 15.5 lbs. distillers grains and 0.6 lbs. corn oil per bushel; 5.) Dry mills not extracting corn oil produce 16.7 lbs. distillers grains per bushel; 6.) Wet mills produce 13.5 lbs. corn gluten feed, 2.5 lbs. corn gluten meal, and 1.5 lbs. corn oil per bushel.
